Guitarist magazine’s feature on Brian’s Red Special Guitar, is now also on the partner website for Guitarist; MusicRadar.com
The launch party for Brian May’s Red Special took place on Wednesday 1st October at the Century Club in Central London.
We’re planning to share a wealth of pictures from the event very soon, so keep checking back to www.theredspecial.com. We also hope to post some video taken of Brian, who spoke at length during the evening about the book and also demonstrated sounds from the Red Special itself, which was something very, well, special indeed.
For now, just a couple of snaps to set the mood…

Brian May’s Red Special: The Story Of The Home-Made Guitar That Rocked Queen and the World – launches today
The wait is over. ‘Brian May’s Red Special: The Story Of The Home-Made Guitar That Rocked Queen and the World’ is on general sale from today (1st October 2014), available from all the usual retail outlets and online stores.
We sincerely hope that all fans of Brian May, the electric guitar and the magnificence that is Queen will enjoy every word and each incredible picture, and will agree with us that the three year journey we undertook to bring this book alive was more than worth it.
An abridged extract from the book appears in The Mail on Sunday’s ‘Event’ magazine today, Sunday 28th September 2014 (UK only).
The piece includes a number of photos from the book, plus a focus on the Red Special’s performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, and is a great taster of what readers can expect when the book is launched on 1st October.
